Hen Empanadas

Components: makes 15 empanadas

three 1/2 c heat water or broth for dough
2 lbs hen breast
Queso Fresco
four cups Maseca
1/2 cup all goal flour
1 tbsp baking powder
7 New Mexico or guajillo chile pods
2 chile pasillas/ancho
Chile árbol, I take advantage of 6
6 tomatillos
1 onion
5 garlic cloves
three bay leaves
1/four tsp cumin
1/four tsp oregano
1/four tsp black pepper
1/four c oil to make dough plus additional for frying

Add 12 cups of water to a pot on M/H warmth, when boiling add in 1/2 onion, three garlic cloves, three bay leaves, salt and hen. Cowl and let prepare dinner for 1hr.

In a big bowl combine four cups maseca, 1/2 cup flour, 1tbsp baking powder, 1/2 tbsp salt.
